I've never seen that as a cause.  Rather, it's with bogus domain
registrations.  No, I don't mean .uucp, I handle that, bogus though it
is; I mean, just to pull an example out of the air (wouldn't want to
step on anyone's toes or anything, purely hypothetical and all that,
any relation between this example and the Real World(tm) is purely
coincidental, fictional hosts, etc ad nauseum)...
