Yup, mail ping-pong, followed by bounce-o-gram due to hopcount overrun. Big deal. Consider it an inducement to fix the @#$% pathalias values and local routing tables. Periodically, someone (I forget who; if you're reading, please identify yourself and take a bow) posts to comp.protocols.tcp-ip a list of bogon domain pointers -- he walks the entire domain tree, finding NS records that aren't actually supported by the referenced hosts. I've been caught in that list twice. I considered it a favor and appreciated it fully, and fixed the problems immediately. Based on the !-path centric crowd seen around here, I expect to be told that doing the equivalent thing for pathalias routing would be considered abuse, rather than assistance. --karl
