Why? Assuming the maps are correct, dumping it on sitea is the cheapest way to do things. If they're not, then get them corrected. Just because sitea.dom.one and sitec.dom.x have domains *doesn't* mean they're on the internet. If you want to take a short cut like that, and your maps are more up to date than the originators, you have to check each link to make sure that the sitec you're trying to get to is the sitec in the maps.
