There was an interesting article quoting Kapor on the subject of a "place" called "Cyberspace", in a special issue of comp.dcom.telecom. It seems to me that if what he terms cyberspace is without organization, and needs to be "civilised", this foundation is simply a method of filling a power vacuum. Which is not necessarily a good thing.
