But even for the normal backups, I find them annoyingly slow, beating 150K/sec on a good day. But maybe when I get a driver written that knows what it's talking to I'll do better... has anyone got any detailed info on the things? I'm trying through various channels to find what progrmming manuals are available, but a part number would be very useful in persuading people that documentation must exist somewhere. (I'm partially convinced the slowness is psychological, since the tape moves so slowly as compared with QIC drives, say.) -- -Colin
