I posted here 'cuz I didn't know where else to post.

If you could tell me which (if any) newsgroups are for
electronic components, esp. integrated circuits, I would
appreciate it.

If no groups exist that dicuss this, then maybe you
can help me with what I specifically am looking for.

I need a to find a pin-compatible (DIP and SOIC packages)
replacement for an F245 octal transceiver, with approx.
equivalent current drive (64mA) on the B port, BUT
with a smaller output voltage swing (3 volts?) on the 
B port (hint: backplane bus application).  The A port MUST
be TTL input/output, approx. 20 mA drive.
