I have recently got a copy of A.T.'s book on MINIX and am now keen to get a copy of MINIX itself. Before I buy, I have few questions which I hope some of you MINIX-gurus may be able answer: 1. What Version of MINIX should I buy and where? I have a '386 pc, motherboard "100% IBM compatible", 1 x 83MByte harddisk Seagate SCSI with ST-02 Host Adaptor, 1 x 1.2MByte 5.24" Floppy. 2. Will MINIX work with my harddisk? (Seagate 1094N SCSI + ST-02 Adaptor) Will I have to write my own? Could I then build a bootable version of MINIX (with my own driver) on a floppy (1.2M) or would I have to buy, beg, borrow or steal a "standard" harddisk to write a SCSI driver? 3. Where can I get more information about what is available in the MINIX archives and how to access them? I'd be grateful for all replies and look forward to "joining the MINIX-club". -- Name: Cliff Luke Phone: +49 911 895 3852 EMail: unido!estevax!norisc!cliff SMail: Siemens AG, AUT E543, Gleiwitzer Strasse 555, Nuernberg-M, W-Germany
