Keywords: X.25 DECstation SCSI Turbochannel Message-ID: <58195@bbn.BBN.COM> Date: 13 Jul 90 20:02:14 GMT Sender: news@bbn.com Reply-To: jjd@BBN.COM Followup-To: comp.unix.ultrix Organization: Bolt Beranek and Newman Inc., Cambridge MA Lines: 25 I'm looking for a way to connect a DECstation (2100, 3100, or 5000) to an X.25 wide area network. I'm only interested in solutions for desktop machines so any Q-Bus solutions won't be helpful. I have heard that there are some SCSI based solutions and possibly some Turbochannel cards in the works. I know about DEC's X25router 2000, but it only works for DECnet over X.25. I'm looking for native X.25 and IP over X.25. I also know about SSI's interface, but was told by them that it was for Vaxstation 3100 only, not for the RISC machines. From the software side, we are hoping for a socket based X.25 interface and also in the ability to do IP over X.25. What I really want is the equivalent of Sun's Sunlink DDN, but for DECstation. Any information you have will be really appreciated. Please reply to me directly as I don't generally read these groups.
