Also, NASA does a lot of work at other centers (like Ames) with unmanned space probes (Voyagers, Pioneers, etc) which are robots in a sense! I am currently working at NASA Ames in the area of AI and we have pushed very strongly to connect with other centers doing robitics like JPL and Langley.
