Loading software from floppies and backing up to same is no ^more of a pain than loading or backing up a similar amount on (say) AmigaOS. Here's a question: What kind of improvement in speed would you expect to get from using 2 40 meg drives over one 80 meg drive (drive speeds being equal)? How much disk contention occurs and would there be an easy way to check this? It would seem that sticking the swap space by itself (how much is needed?) would be best and put your system and user space on another. It may also help you juggle your budget and buy a superfast drive for the critical operations. I was curious since I may end up with a A2000 with a 2091A and a Trumpcard which will let me have a total of 4 SCSI devices (I think). I figure 1 system disk, 1 user disk, 1 Tape drive and a 44 meg syquest (or a WORM) drive should be great for UNIX. Is the 2091A a DMA type controller? ^ [descriptions of other systems deleted] ^ ^-- ^Peter da Silva. `-_-' ^.
