The fact that lowering the baud rate makes your printer work leads me to think that the reason for your problem seems to be the configuration of your serial port e.g. the handshaking protocol. If you're using 'software'-handshaking via XON/XOFF characters (default for the LaserWriter IINTX) try the following: /com/tctl -default // resets sio1 /com/tctl -nosync -insync // input sync This lets the printer controll the synchronization of the transmission (assuming that you use sio1 and 9600 Baud). If you don't have an AEGIS environment, you'll probably have to use the UNIX command 'stty', but I don't know much about that (though I'm not an AEGIS fan). ________________________________________________________________________ Georg Schmid, ISD University of Stuttgart, W.-Germany email: schmid@asterix.luftfahrt.uni-stuttgart.de (129.69.110.2) voice: 0(049-)711-685-2053 fax: 0(049-)711-685-3706 ________________________________________________________________________
