It sounds to me that you are trying to download on the IBM-compatible side of your computer, instead of the Apple side. The easiest way (at least for me) is to download IBM files using Proterm (or your favorite Apple II term program), in the normal manner. Then go over to the PCT side, and select "Transfer" (a utility that's on one of those AE disks). Then move them over to the portion of your hard drive that you've partitioned for your PCT transporter. I've discovered that using an IBM term program drops characters at 2400 baud, and since I have 9600, I don't bother with it on the IBM side. Lynda
