I do believe you need 5.0.2, but since I have been running it since it first came out, and have not checked otherwise, BUT, I did have the same problems with SoundSmith .9 and .94. After some thinking (not a whole lot mind you) I realized that 5.0.2 does not include tools 32 and 33, and that without those SoundSmith will not work.
