What term software are you using?  I've used Procomm, MS-Works, kermit, and
Telix 3.11.  They all work fine on my PCT with every protocal.  How much space
is left on the disk you're downloading to?  Which disk are you downloading
to?  Is it the RAMdisk?  If so, have you formatted the RAMdisk for ms-dos? 
Are you're phone lines clean?  I can't think of any other reason that
downloads wouldn't work, but I'm sure there could be more reasons.

I have a PCT/768k
-one apple 3.5" drive (use as ms-dos 720k drive when using PCT)
-2 AE 5.25" 360k drives
-2 Apple 5.25" disk ][ drives
-PCT System disk ver. 1.30, Release 1.2

I'd bet more than anything, that it's your term software.  Try calling a BBS
>From Apple mode and download Telix (it's about the best term package), then
trnsfer from ProDOS to MS-DOS.  You'll more than likely have to de-arc it or
unzip it, so be sure you have a copy of either of those.  If all alse fails,
call AE tech support, if you can ever get through.
