Anyways, Soundsmith 0.94 works just fine for me with 5.0(.2?) and 1.25M on a ROM 01. Here's what I have on my disk, which has 250 blocks still free and I'm sure could be stripped down a lot more: /soundsmith.0.94/ 11 files name type blocks modified access ---- ---- ------ -------- ------ sndsmith.sys16 s16 1 14-Feb-90 4:29 PM rwnd B system dir 2 31-May-90 8:33 PM rwnd B error.msg $BC 11 14-Jun-89 9:47 AM rwnd B drivers dir 1 31-May-90 8:31 PM rwnd B appledisk3.5 drv 12 14-Jun-89 9:37 AM rwnd B finder.data fnd 1 31-May-90 8:31 PM rwnd B console.driver drv 15 14-Jun-89 9:46 AM rwnd B expressload p16 25 17-Jun-89 8:43 AM rwnd B fsts dir 1 31-May-90 8:31 PM rwnd B char.fst $BD 5 14-Jun-89 9:46 AM rwnd B pro.fst $BD 47 7-Aug-89 5:07 PM rwnd B finder.data fnd 1 31-May-90 8:31 PM rwnd B gs.os p16 90 18-Sep-89 2:25 PM rwnd B gs.os.dev $BC 6 15-Sep-89 5:41 PM rwnd B start.gs.os p16 26 18-Sep-89 2:25 PM rwnd B system.setup dir 1 31-May-90 8:33 PM rwnd B cdev.init tsf 6 14-Jun-89 10:59 AM rwnd B resource.mgr str 19 15-Sep-89 6:12 PM rwnd B sys.resources p16 20 14-Jun-89 10:34 AM rwnd B tool.setup str 1 14-Jun-89 10:00 AM rwnd B ts2 $BC 79 15-Sep-89 6:00 PM rwnd B ts3 $BC 18 15-Sep-89 6:01 PM rwnd B finder.data fnd 1 31-May-90 8:33 PM rwnd B tools dir 2 31-May-90 4:57 PM rwnd B tool014 tol 49 14-Jun-89 10:15 AM rwnd B tool015 tol 35 14-Jun-89 10:16 AM rwnd B tool016 tol 29 14-Jun-89 10:17 AM rwnd B tool018 tol 43 31-Jul-89 4:31 PM rwnd B tool019 tol 15 14-Jun-89 10:20 AM rwnd B tool020 tol 20 14-Jun-89 10:21 AM rwnd B tool021 tol 26 15-Sep-89 6:02 PM rwnd B tool022 tol 8 14-Jun-89 10:22 AM rwnd B tool023 tol 27 31-Jul-89 4:34 PM rwnd B tool025 tol 14 14-Jun-89 10:24 AM rwnd B tool026 tol 10 14-Jun-89 10:24 AM rwnd B tool027 tol 27 14-Jun-89 10:25 AM rwnd B tool028 tol 13 14-Jun-89 10:25 AM rwnd B tool029 tol 6 14-Jun-89 10:25 AM rwnd B tool034 tol 75 18-Sep-89 2:31 PM rwnd B tool032 tol 27 14-Jun-89 10:29 AM rwnd B prodos sys 4 14-Jun-89 9:57 AM rwnd B intro.music bin 52 28-Apr-90 2:54 PM rwnd B sndsmith.screen pic 65 20-Apr-90 1:26 AM rwnd B sndsmith.config txt 1 28-Apr-90 1:02 AM rwnd B main exe 219 28-Apr-90 7:25 PM rwnd B doc.data bin 124 28-Apr-90 2:54 PM rwnd B title.screen pic 65 28-Apr-90 7:44 PM rwnd B finder.root fnd 1 16-Jul-90 1:50 PM rwnd B finder.data fnd 1 16-Jul-90 1:54 PM rwnd B blocks free: 246 used: 1354 (85%) total: 1600 >That does it. I'm getting two megs. While you're at it, I'll put in a plug for the Apricorn RAMPro card. I've never seen it advertised, but got one from Standard Peripherals (800-535-1707) for $59. It hold 1-4 MB (using 1 MB chips - $4.70 from the Chip Merchant), and seems to emulate a GS-RAM+, or at least my RamKeeper recognizes it as such, rather than an 'Other' as it does my AST card. Nice card, at a low price. (Yes, I was using Soundsmith 0.94 w/ just 1.25 MB before I got more RAM - honest!) >Todd Whitesel >toddpw @ tybalt.caltech.edu Henry --- Henry Throop Internet: throoph@jacobs.cs.orst.edu
