It works with both rez's on the FM's. You do lose significant picture quality, as you would espect. As long as we're bringing up TV interfaces, my old 520 (pre-FM TOS 1.0) worked really well with my color TV's, my new 520 STFM (TOS 1.2) gets a lot of video noise, which is related both to the grounding of the cable (when I hold it or rearrange it the signal quality varies from horrendous (?) to acceptable) and a lot of noise from the ST itself (when I turn it on TV reception is noticeably deteriorated on the TV in the next room.
