He currently has Personal Pascal and Mark Williams C. The assembler that comes with MWC has two disadvantages. First, the MWC assembler will not produce code that can be used with Personal Pascal, and second, its syntax is not standard with most of the sample programs he has been looking at. I want to get him another assembler so I am looking for information. 1) Will the GNU Assembler (gas) solve these problems? If so, I can get it from terminator I think, but I'm not sure what files I need. Can someone tell me? 2) Should I be looking to get something else instead? What are its advantages and where can I get it? My guess is that this is not a "hot" topic, so please respond via email. I will summarize if there is interest. Thanks, mike -- Michael A.
