Each partition can have it's own system folder and you can switch launch from one to the other. I find this really useful; e.g., can switch to one and run disk first aid or tune-up on the other. At format time you must specify how many partitions, and cannot change that without losing all data. But then you can recreate different partitions of different sizes within that limit. -Drew Wade drew@objy.com
