Does anyone know what compression algorithm Compactor uses? I've noticed it has consistently improved on what StuffIt 1.5.1 can do(my own tests on a variety of files). Please reply to me and I'll post a follow-up. I'm just guessing that it something more than just LZW/Huffman compression but the doc's don't say anything about what it might be. I'm interested in any file compression algorithm out there, even if its not what Compactor uses, so please also reply with news about other algorithms besides LZW, Huffman, RLE. Thanks for the help.
