Has anyone compared the Norton Utilities to other similar packages?
I'm prompted to ask since I just got Disk Express 2.0. It refuses
to do anything if the disk is bad; in this case, a bad directory,
with a blocks allocated to a file that didn't exist. Apple's
Disk First Aid didn't find the problem at all, while SUM found it
but said it couldn't fix it. I'm wondering if NU would have done
a better job? (I solved my problem by running Disk Express 1.5,
which didn't complain and rebuilt the directory, thereby
fixing the error :-)
