Message-ID: Date: 17 Jul 90 09:04:42 GMT Sender: news@ulrik.uio.no (USENET News System) Reply-To: bl@nac.no Distribution: comp Organization: University of Oslo, Norway Lines: 52 I have just installed a (large) number of screen fonts in my System file using the Font/DA Mover. After doing this I find that Word 4.0 creates duplicate entries in the font menu, thusly: . . . B American Typewriter Bold B Avant Garde Demi B Avant Garde Demi B Avant Garde Demi B Avant Garde Demi B Avant Garde Demi B Benguiat Bold . . . Other applications seem to create perfect font menus. I have tried the following: - disabling all INITs - using Suitcase II and placing the screen fonts in one external file. - using Suitcase II and placing the screen fonts in several external files. - changing to Word 4.0A .. but without luck. (When using several external files the symptoms changed a bit - now a number of font entries *disappeared*, as well). Are there any known bugs in Word 4.0/4.0A that might have to do with this? Any workarounds? Environment: 8Mb Mac IIcx System 6.0.4 In advance thanks, -- Bjorn Larsen University of Oslo, Norway bl@nuug.no +47 2 45 35 30
