What's best? Keywords: Red Ryder/White Knite, Microphone, etc... Message-ID: <2602@lamont.ldgo.columbia.edu> Date: 16 Jul 90 22:31:39 GMT Organization: Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory N.Y. Lines: 14 Hello, our group is getting ready to have a bunch of wonderful new computer equipment delivered and we need to talk communications software. Mostly we're going to be using email, but as a backup we need to be able to communicate via modem. We're going to have SE/30's which will need to be able to talk to both Vax's and Unix machines. I looked in the Macintosh Bible under communication packages and see that the programs listed are Red Ryder (now White Knight), Microphone I and II, TermWorks and FModem. From the text in the book I get the feeling that RR/WK comes out on top as far as perfomance/$$. Has this changed recently and if so what is the best program to get? Please email to mudpit@lamont.ldgo.columbia.edu with your reply. Thanks for the help! Dan Quoidbach
