I have a Mac II with the Apple 8*24 bit video card and an Apple 13" color monitor (and a B/W monitor and card to watch what is going on). When I boot with System + Finder (6.0.4 or 6.0.5) the color monitor stays black but I can use the B/W monitor. When I boot with System + Finder + 32-bit Color Quickdraw (from the 6.0.5 distribution) the color monitor works fine but everything freezes up right at the end of the boot sequence. I know the color monitor and 24 bit card are OK since I can run them in my Mac IIci without any hitches. And obviously the Mac II is OK. Does anyone have any ideas about how to proceed? Is it even possible to use a Mac II with the 24 bit video card? --Tom -- Tom Ngo ngo@harvard.harvard.edu 617/495-1768 lab number, leave message
