I got a good buy on S5R3 software. I assume the offer is
good anywhere in the US.

Here's an excerpt from a general announcement by P.R. Bell, AVP-
Product Marketing, NCR U.S. (in case you missed it):

"For a limited time, from now until December 31, 1990, you can
 experience significant cost savings when migrating to UNIX V.3.
 By taking this opportunity to liscense the new NCR Tower Operating
 System now, you will receive a migration credit related to your
 original purchase.

 NCR Tower 32/4XX/6XX customers who liscensed their V.2 operating
 system on or after August 1, 1988, may receive V.3 for $400.
 Those who licensed before August 1, 1988, may receive V.3 for
 $795.
