in response to 2 recent questions:

"Invalid login" is the mesg that occurs when you 
attempt to use /usr/sbin/mknetpr to add a remote
printer that is attached to a BSD machine.
on 3.2--sgi does not provide software that will
do this.

you might look in sgi.com's ftp anonymous'
pub directory--for the file lpr.shar.
it is a no-guarantees alternative for now.
