I have a problem of internet sockets hanging when the connection is broken
in an abnormal fashion.  Usually I reboot the machine to reclaim the
socket.  I really would like an alternative solution.  Any suggestions?

p.s.  When I say that the socket "hangs" I mean that I cannot "bind" to
the same (reserved) port again.  I am working with SunOS 4.0.3.
