It appears from the format.dat file that we have an Adaptec SCSI controller. Basically I have two questions: 1) Looking through the format.dat file I have noticed that different SCSI disks are "officially" supported with different SCSI controlers. I thought that SCSI was SCSI so my question is can I hook up any SCSI disk to our controler and, assuming I get the format data correct, have it work? Or is there some rational reason why different disks are associated with different controlers in the format.dat file. 2) Assuming that I can hook up any SCSI disk to the controller, who is a good source for third party disks? Actually I suppose I should also ask who is a good maker of third party disks.
