I used nroff, but this does not work with troff, either. I took a look at the /usr/lib/macros/an file header, and it says version 1.37, 12/19/80. The particular machine I want to run this on is a 3B2/400 running SVR3.2. The DWB we are using is from 1986, but everything else works *fine*, so there has never been a need to install any newer version. We use newer troff postprocessors, but the problem is obviously not there since this won't work on simple nroff output directed to a file for examination. Larry Lippman @ Recognition Research Corp.
