I have seen closeout's for Princeton Graphics scanners and the Cannon
scanner, both in the $400 range.  OCR software is advertised for both,
and FAX is mentioned for the PG model.

Several naive questions:

a) is this the right newsgroup?
b) relative merits, quality of OCR software available for each?
c) compatibility of either with Framemaker?
d) best/appropriate FAX tools for forwarding scanned images?
e) relevence of Jef Poskanzer PBMplus raster tools?
f) obvious better choices on the market (get what you pay for, etc).?

Any help greatly appreciated.
