I have always been unhappy with some of the style decisions made by 
the designer of BiBTeX.  Currently I use BiBTeX to create a bibliography
file and then make extensive changes to it to correct these inconsistencies
in style (such as sometimes representing pages by "pages" and sometimes
by "pp.").  Is it possible that there is an easy way to customize the
way these entries come out every time?
