I tried transferring it to my home mac with Zterm. I now have a large Zterm binary document on my mac. Uncompress won't deal with it ("not in compress format"). It does seem to be the same size as the original, so I think it has a chance of being ok. I tried transferring the same file via kermit: yuck. Took 2 1/2 hours (vs. 18 minutes for Zterm), and the result was the wrong size. Uncompress crashed; the uncompressed file bombed tar. Finally the stupid question: how can I convert the result of Zterm file transfer to something I can uncompress and untar? I suppose that I could use uucp, if I had the manuals to get it set up...
