This is a known bug in Screen Peace before version 1.2.
It was fixed in version 1.2 of the software.
It was available on Compuserve for awhile, but was removed 
recently (not for bugs though, the author assured me of this).
The problem has do to with the dll calling a standard library routine
which seemed to REALLY screw up the system (obviously).
