Hi,  I think I will jump in and introduce myself.  I am hearing impaired 
and and sight really in one eye (the right one) and the left eye can 
see only light and dark.  I was born hearing impaired and with a cataract 
in my left eye leading to surgery on eye and also on heart soon after 
birth.  I have heart murmur due to heart problem right after birth 
which I became blue.  I was raised in Duluth, Minn. most of my life 
and moved to Seattle in 1977 to attend Seattle Central Community College.
Yeah, I missed going to SHHH convention.  Ann was telling me aobut 
that some time ago.  Apparently, plans did not work out that way for 
me to go to LR.  Since it is in Denver, I will try to make it next 
year.  I have parents and some friends in Colorado.  My parents live 
in Colorado Springs.  Well, I have this on calendar and hope to meet 
you Ann  and the others too!  Oh, I have some hearing and can communicate 
with hearing people but my life centers with the deaf and I sign. 
Ahhh, now I am not a silent reader. <grin>.
