I've been following rec.audio.high-end with interest since its inception,
and wanted to take a moment to thank Tom Krueger for the fine job that
he's doing here.  Good work, Tom!

Second, I've received permission to post an announcement of the existence
of a (relatively) new audiophile group here in Portland, Oregon.  It's 
called the Oregon Triode Society.  Formed last December, we already have
over 70 members from around the country.  Our newsletter, published 
bi-monthly, is called POSITIVE FEEDBACK.  It features first-rate writing
by audiophiles from around the country, and has received favorable 
responses from a number of readers around the U.S.

Our August meeting will feature Mr. Bob Carver (together with a his Silver
Sevens) talking about trends in high-end gear, and his view of the future
of high-end.  The date will be August 3, around 7:00 p.m. here in Portland.
