I am looking for a small circuit that will generate about
120 volts at 400 Hz from either 12 volts dc, 1 amp or
from 120 vac (Wall outlet).  Unfortunatly, I do not know
my current requirements but given 12 volts and 1 amp, its
probably pretty low.

I have been told the circuit I want is called an inverter.

Any ideas?
