Having posted that long article on Chinese Rooms, I now come across
a couple of postings pleading that enough is enough. Sorry about that.
I'm a new kid on the block. I'll hide and watch for a bit.

I do, however, think that my commentary on Penrose's exposition of
the Chinese Room demolishes Mr. Smith's "recursive vs. physical" argument
of <1990Jul2.182411.4441@king.mcs.drexel.edu>, which I had not read when
I wrote the article.
