One amchine is being used as a file-server, a second one as a workstation. Our problem is as follows: When we USE FILENAME EXCLUSIVE on the workstation, a user on the file-server trying to access FILENAME, quite properly receives a message that it is in use by another user. However, when we USE FILENAME EXCLUSIVE on the file-server, a user trying to access FILENAME on the workstation gets the message FILE NOT FOUND We do not understand why this is happening - nor how to fix it ? If anyone has had experience of this phenomenon and has found a fix (or if anyone can work it out from first principles) we would be very grateful to hear from them.
