I have and run the Mac VAPs. I set the printer up as an AppleTalk Queue so the Macs can see it on the net. The printer is connected to a workstation and the workstation is attached to the queue using hotserver from Fresh Technology. The PCs on the net can print to it. When I send an AppleTalk job to the printer it whirs away for a while and then prints nothing. Why? Everyone is using PostScript. The printer is a NEC SilentWriter LC890. I don't have AppleTalk at the printer's location or I would use it. Is there something different about a PC Postscript job vs a Mac Postscript job? If there is interest I will summarize to the net. Thanks for any tips Bob Fawcett Armstrong State College bob@pirates.UUCP
