Via email to an archive server. If you need a file, send mail to ivucsb!dsp@radius.com. and list the files you want on each line with "send " in front, i.e., send README send HOWTO If you need to get a file that is in a subdirectory, try something like this: send analog/ellip.c Some people have complained that some mailers are messing with the mail on the way out. Specifically, some mailers seem to be taking lines that are longer than 79 characters and making them into two lines and also converting tabs to 8 spaces. To combat this, I have added the "sendu" command. This will send you the file in the uuencoded format (you will need to be able to execute the program "uudecode", which is available on most UNIX systems and the source via ftp at uunet.uu.net). sendu README sendu HOWTO The README file will always have the latest updates. I will try to post it to the net when major changes are made. Also, the date stamp of the README file is sent at the top of each successful request and the date stamp of the HOWTO file is sent at the top of each request failure. Please try getting one file first. If it makes it, then you know the archive server can communicate with you. I'd hate to have the server send out tons of mail only to have most of it bounce. If you think files are not making it back to you, you may put a Reply-To: field in the header. This line MUST appear before the send lines. Please let me know if you have to do this. I want to make sure that my address resolution is working correctly. Lines that don't begin with keywords will be ignored. Trailing words will be ignored, also. Make sure you don't change case. Right now I am looking for program source that does standard processing tricks with audio (chorusing, flanging, echoing, pitch shift, etc.). Also looking for Dr. Bub downloads, if you have any. Try to put comments in your source saying where it came from so we can contact the original author for questions. You can mail source to me at the address below (do not send to dsp, as you will just confuse the archive server). Thank you for your cooperation. -Todd Day- ivucsb!todd@radius.com -- Todd Day | temp@ ivucsb!todd@radius.com | soon@ ivucsb!todd@hub.ucsb.edu Car Insurer: "Betcha thousand bucks you don't wreck your car this year!"
