I just got Ghostscript version 1.4beta3 ( the free ****Script interpreter from
FSF ) working on a Sequent Symmetry with X11R4

To my surprise I found it could deal with the dreaded output from dvips
(version 4.0 (C) 1987-9 Radical Eye Software) and allows you to preview 
(slowly) LaTeX documents with embedded ****Script figures before sending 
them to the printer. 

However I could not get it to deal with dvips output which came from 
document using the "psfont.sty" mechanism to use ****Script fonts. It only
works when the Computer Modern fonts are used and the font definition is 
downloaded to the printer.

It throws up this :-

but unfortunately my knowledge of ****Script errors is rudimentary/missing.

Has anyone else seen this problem or know waht the solution might be?
