Our experience has been that the 'sc' controller boards (Sun 2 SCSI) work with the EMULEX MD21 ESDI-SCSI adaptors, but do not work with (for example) Micropolis embedded SCSI controllers. 3/50's and 3/60's both *do* work. I believe, though we have not had one to test, that the Sun 3 SCSI boards also work. Why? I don't know, but would appreciate it if anyone could shed any light on it.
