I have seen mention of running PC-NFS with the Clarkson packet drivers. After getting the packet driver for the 3C503 and changing the board to use shared memory rather than DMA, I could run NCSA's Telnet fine (with PC-NFS unloaded). However I came unstuck when tackling how the packet driver relates to PC-NFS and its various drivers (VECIE6.SYS, NFSVEC.SYS, SOCKDRV.SYS and PCNFS.SYS). Obviously, VECIE6.SYS has to go and PCNFS.SYS has to stay. Other than that I am at a loss! Has anyone done this or can anyone shed some light? Also, I have tried the 3COM 3C503 TP (Twisted Pair) card as a drop in replacement for the 3C503. 3COM diags work ok but PC-NFS does not fire up at all (I am using the AUI port with an external transceiver in both cases). Any comments? Any help appreciated.
