However, the 3c505 cards work just fine. The Zenith 386sx is an AT bus machine. There are two problems that I know of with the older motherboards (the new ones supposedly have these problems corrected): The DMA controller for the disk controller (Western Digital OEM) was not up to spec. This caused problems when I would try to run FASTBACK. One of the signals on the AT bus is not implemented correctly. I can't remember the details, but I think the 3c503 sees a signal on the bus that should not be there - it then tries to respond to the signal, but since it was a false signal the 3c503 just hangs. Zenith now has a revision to fix these problems (and maybe others that I am not aware of). Just call up your Zenith rep. I can't verify if the motherboard revisions work since I haven't scheduled the repairs yet. Dan Holtzman dth@txs.pitt.edu
