Has anybody got the above configuration working?

We've put the hardware together but get

 "Local host or gateway not responding"

when we attempt to use the Mac telnet to talk to anything on the other side
of the PC router.  The PC router log shows a "Localtalk arp lookup on
<Localtalk IP broadcast address>" but nothing else. I'm reasonably sure that
the telnet and router have been configured correctly.  I've got sources for
both the PC router 2.1 and the Mac NCSA Telnet 2.3 and from my incomplete
understanding of the code I'd expect them to be able to talk to each other
(For example, both use Appletalk DDP socket 72). We're not trying to do Mac
IP address resolution.

Our configuration:

 PC, Mac, Unix boxes -(Ether)-+- Novell 2.15c server --+

 Mac's -(Localtalk)-----+---?--- PCRouter 2.1 -(Ether)-+

ie. We have two networks in the department, one running TCP/IP and Novell
Netware IPX over ethernet and the other running Appletalk/Appleshare over
Localtalk.  We would like to run TCP/IP over the Localtalk gatewayed via the
PC router to the local ethernet and to the Internet. We're already successfully
running the PC's and Mac's over ethernet to the PC router.

I suspect this is an old problem but I'm running out of places to look and
help would be *much* appreciated.  Also, does anybody know of a ping or
netwatch for Mac/localtalk?
