REAL/IX has recently been licensed to Groupe Bull of France.  REAL/IX systems
have also been recently selected by Jet Propulsion Laboratory for NASA's Deep
Space Network (DSN), a facility used to track, control, and receive data from
deep space probes. 

MODCOMP's REAL/IX is a fully preemtive, low-latency, realtime UNIX operating
system (System V.3).  It conforms to AT&T's System V Interface Definition
(SVID) and passes the System V Verification Suite (SVVS).  It runs on a 68030
based VME system (with SCSI).  Features include:

o FAST context switch time (Best Case context switch time: approx. 30 microsec)

There was recently an article on Realtime Unix systems in System Integration
magazine a few months ago.   REAL/IX came out on top against all the listed
systems.  I'll try and get the issue number for you if you can't find it.

Note that REAL/IX isn't a total re-write of System V which other companies
claim you have to do to get realtime performance.  REAL/IX is System V 
with realtime extensions, and the kernel is fully preemptive kernel.
