Yep! Compare the media "coverage" of the 3 astronauts killed with that of the 40 to 50 *thousand* killed in motor vehicles *each year*. This is a simplistic comparison if one considers only absolute numbers of participants. Consider it in terms of participant-miles and it becomes, I believe, rather less simplistic.
