In particular i am looking for a program to convert a type 1 font to a type 3 font. Or/and the other way around. I have the "black book". What i want to do is to put accents on the postscript characters. I already have a postscript program that does it, but it takes around a minute for each font to do that re-encoding, and manipulating, and is too resource consumpting. (And have other restrictions). So I am looking for programs to manipulate the font, and put it back again. Does anyone have such program(s), or do I have to re-invent the wheel again? I might also be interesting in a postscript font-editing program, even if it is commercial. (Not Mac, or Sun)
