Have you actually counted the frequency with which it is displayed?  Every
17th time isn't repulsive to the point of being unusable, but it was meant
to annoy you.  If it is, then it means that you're using it enough to warrent
registering it.  If you don't wish to register than you'll have to live with
it.

FYI, The CompuServe program Whap! does this *everytime* you change to a 
different area, try it for awhile and you'll appreciate why I didn't do the
same for JR-Comm.  But, I *did* want to get the point across just the same...

Hmm, vi does fencepost matching on the system I call as well, the text doesn't
dissappear though.  Could you capture and isolate the ANSI sequences used for
the matching on your system so that I can examine them?

Hmm, sounds like you may have been using a gamma version of JR-Comm somewhere
along the line.  If so, reinstall the fonts.lzh file, the VT100 fonts changed
for 1.0.
