Unfortunately it doesn't seem that a mere button in the wrong position is the problem. To all who have sent mail - Thanks for the suggestions on checking the power on the serial port (I'll check that in a day or so when I have access to the necessary tools) but the interface does work. It has been tried on an Amiga 500 and it worked fine. I have had the serial port itself replaced due to a bent pin (Pin 2 to be exact) but otherwise there have been no problems. (A side note - When the 2500-ECE-D10 setup was tested with a midi tester [For lack of a better or technical name] there was NOTHING. Not even power. The 500-ECE-D10 setup showed full operation.)
