The A500 will hook into a monochrome monitor just fine. You can get a fine monochrome monitor for about $70. Probably less for a 9" monochrome monitor. There's also very little reason to include a second floppy if you have the hard disk. Most Amigas and Mac I've seen with hard drives don't bother with a second floppy drive. If you're doing an honest comparison, compare similarly equipped systems, please. IMHO, they're pretty comparable in price.
